We are committed to being at the forefront of investor relations and constantly look for new ways to better serve our clients and the investment community. Our passion for helping others also shows through in how we approach all aspects of life. Our talent spans from coast to coast, yet we still manage to stay connected through our collective goal of contributing to the betterment of society and supporting all the different communities we are part of. We asked the irlabs team how they like to get involved in their communities, and this is what they had to say:
“I like to get involved in different ways. I enjoy working with entrepreneurs, innovators, and small businesses and learning about different businesses and how they operate. Entrepreneurs are creative and enterprising people who take risks, and who need community support and a network to thrive. Recently, I have been mentoring and supporting early-stage companies with investor positioning, communication, and engagement strategies through various accelerator programs and my own community network. I’m passionate about impact investing and microfinance of small loans to individual entrepreneurs. I also authored an Amazon best-selling children’s book on plant-based food and nutrition after identifying a lack of simple, fun, educational books that children can read about healthy eating and nutrition, especially about plant-based foods. I am often focused on learning more about how we can restore our planet with sustainable solutions, particularly through the food and agricultural supply chain from farm to table, and I have a particular interest in food & beverage, foodtech, and agtech companies. I am currently on the Board of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute BC Chapter and a member of the Responsible Investment Association and the Canada Forum for Impact Investment and Development.”

“I like to be "hands on" in supporting my community and directly involved. There are many charities and organizations that do a great job of supporting the homeless. My wife and I will prepare forty extra meals and directly deliver them to people in our neighborhood. We also donate clothing, blankets and sanitary products. We do this in the winter months, but our goal this year is to support more frequently.”

“I’m a mom of four and I love getting involved in the community as a family. For three years in a row, we have raised money for local community initiatives and hosted a Christmas dinner for families in need. In December 2023, we raised a record $5000 for the holiday meal and provided 100+ meals to families. We personally source all items, organize the volunteers and oversee the execution of the dinner. This is always a highlight of my year.”
